Graduation Requirements

CLASSES OF 2018, 2019 and 2020:

A student must meet six requirements to graduate from Colorado High School Charter:

 

  • Meet growth goals on the NWEA MAP test

  • Complete all requirements for Senior Portfolio

  • Earn 240 or more academic credits, including five credits of Civics

  • Complete Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP)

  • Complete Parent and Student Survey

  • Pay $100 graduation fee

 

Regular school attendance is mandatory until all of these graduation requirements are met.

 

CLASS OF 2021 and Beyond:

New graduation requirements begin with the class of 2021:

 

  • Successful completion of 24 units of credit

    • 4 units of English

    • 4 units of Math

    • 3 units of Science

    • 3 units of Social Studies, including .5 unit of Civics

    • 1 unit of Arts or eligible CTE

    • 9 units of Approved Electives

  • Demonstration of College and Career Readiness in English and Math through one or more of the approved options in the DPS approved Menu of Options

  • Completion of the requirements and goals as listed on a student's Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) and/or Individualized Education Plan (IEP) which may include modified content standards.

  • Meet growth goals on the NWEA MAP test

  • Complete Parent and Student Survey

  • Pay $100 graduation fee
